IT & CONNECTIVITY FOR
EQUINE OPERATIONS.

Most IT companies have never set foot on a horse farm. We have. Simply IT brings barn-to-office connectivity, foaling and security cameras, software support, and cybersecurity to horse farms across Ocala and Marion County — the heart of Florida horse country.

Veteran-owned, headquartered minutes from the World Equestrian Center. When the barn drops offline, you get a local team — not a national call queue.

// The Farm Reality

A FARM ISN'T ONE BUILDING.
YOUR IT SHOULDN'T ACT LIKE IT.

The reason generic IT companies struggle with horse farms is simple: they design for an office. A farm is acreage, multiple buildings, rural broadband, and 24/7 operations. Here's what actually has to be solved.

100s
of acres

A horse farm isn't one building — it's a main office, multiple barns, arenas, a tack room, and staff housing spread across acreage. The single router by the front-office desk never reaches the foaling barn.

Rural
broadband gaps

Many Marion County parcels sit beyond cable/fiber. We design around it — business fixed-wireless, Starlink failover, and point-to-point links — so the whole property stays online, not just the house.

24/7
eyes on the barn

Foaling season, tack-room theft, and after-hours access mean cameras aren't optional. Outdoor-rated, NDAA-compliant cameras with phone viewing put the barn on your pocket from anywhere.

$$$
in the office, too

Boarding, training, lessons, and breeding fees run through software and card terminals. Billing data, registration papers, and breeding records need backup and security like any other business.

// Frequently Asked Questions

HORSE-FARM IT, ANSWERED.

Why won't normal home/office WiFi work on a horse farm?+
Because a farm isn't one building. A standard router covers a house or a small office — it can't reach a barn, arena, or tack room that's hundreds of feet (or several acres) away. Walls, metal barn roofs, and distance kill the signal. Covering a horse farm takes a designed network: a business internet connection at the point of presence, then outdoor-rated wireless access points and point-to-point wireless bridges that relay coverage building-to-building across the property. We map your farm, place equipment where it actually reaches, and give you reliable coverage in the barns and arenas — not just by the office desk.
My farm is too rural for cable or fiber internet. What are my options?+
This is common across Marion County, and it's solvable. Where cable and fiber don't reach, we design around it: business-grade fixed-wireless internet, Starlink (excellent for rural properties, and a strong failover even where you have cable), or a combination with automatic failover so a single outage doesn't take the whole farm offline. We've planned connectivity for properties well off the main road — the goal is the same reliability a business in town expects, engineered for a rural parcel.
Can I watch my barns and foaling stalls from my phone?+
Yes — this is one of the most-requested setups. We install outdoor-rated, NDAA-compliant security cameras across stalls, barn aisles, tack rooms, gates, and arenas, with live and recorded viewing from your phone anywhere you have a signal. Foaling-season stall monitoring, after-hours security, and tack/equipment-theft deterrence are the big three. Cameras require the farm-wide network to be in place first, which is why we usually design connectivity and cameras together.
Do you support barn management and equine practice software?+
We support the infrastructure your software runs on — the network, workstations, backup, and security — and coordinate with your software vendor for application-level questions. That covers barn/boarding-management platforms, breeding and registration record systems, point-of-sale, and equine veterinary practice-management software (ezyVet, Cornerstone, Avimark, Hippo Manager, and others). The goal is that your software is fast, backed up, and available — and that you have one local partner to call when something isn't working, instead of bouncing between vendors.
Why does a horse farm need cybersecurity and backup?+
Because the office side of a farm is a real business. You run boarding and training invoices, take card payments, hold breeding and registration papers, and bank online — all from computers and phones that face the same phishing, wire-fraud, and ransomware threats as any other business. A single compromised email or a dead hard drive can cost you irreplaceable records and real money. We protect the farm office with endpoint security, MFA, email/wire-fraud defense, and automated backup of the records and financials you can't recreate.
Do you serve horse farms outside of Ocala?+
Yes. Simply IT is headquartered in Ocala — the heart of Florida horse country and home to the World Equestrian Center — and we serve equine operations across Marion County and North Central Florida. Because we're local, when a barn drops offline or a camera goes dark, you get a same-day, on-site response from a team that knows the terrain, not a national call queue. We work with breeding farms, boarding and training barns, equine veterinary practices, equestrian venues, and the feed/tack businesses that support them.
How much does IT for a horse farm cost?+
Ongoing managed IT and security runs from $75 per user per month, the same transparent per-user pricing we use for every business, with no long-term contracts. Connectivity and camera projects (outdoor access points, point-to-point links, cameras, cabling) are quoted per property based on acreage, number of barns, and coverage needs, since every farm's layout is different. The honest way to scope it is a free on-site assessment: we walk the property, map coverage, and give you a clear plan and quote.
We're near the World Equestrian Center — do you work with event and venue operations?+
Yes. The WEC and the surrounding equestrian economy bring event venues, vendors, and seasonal operations that all depend on reliable connectivity, cameras, and payment processing — often outdoors and at scale. We design networks and camera coverage for show grounds and event-driven operations, with the bandwidth and reliability those environments demand. Being Ocala-based means we're close enough to respond fast during an event, not days later.
